Coach Mark Mincher
|
Head Coach and Athletic Director Mark
started his coaching career at Monrovia Middle School where he remained for two years before moving to Sparkman High School
in 1983. He became Head Coach at Sparkman the following year in 1984. During that year, Sparkman made their first trip to
the State Baseball Playoffs in 1984. Mark's record at Sparkman was 29-14.
Mark moved to Huntsville High in the 1985-86 school year. HHS made their first trip
to the State Playoffs under his direction in 1988, making it all the way to the final 4. During his 24 years at HHS,
the Panthers have won or shared 12 City Championships, won 7 Area Championships, and made 15 appearances in the State
Playoffs. Mark's record at HHS is 466-296 for a career total 493-306.
Coach Mincher also teaches Algebra. He and his wife, Nancy, have two children.
Their son, Wade, is 26 and their daughter, Allyson is 23.
